Why would the vinegar on a wart treatment work?

where you take a cotton ball and soak it in vinegar then tape it to the wart. why would it work?
and also, how long should the cotton ball stay there? how often should one change it?

If it does work, it’s because vinegar is an acid, acetic acid.
Try changing twice a day and see what happens, can’t hurt.
Many wart cures work just because people think that they’ll work, that is, the placebo effect. I have no idea whether the vinegar treatment is a placebo or not, as I haven’t heard of it before.
For the duct tape treatment, I believe that the tape is supposed to be left on the wart for six days, and then removed for one day.
Personally, I prefer to get any warts treated with a laser at my doctor’s office. It’s very quick, and the warts almost never come back. I have to see my general practitioner about every other month anyway, so I just get the warts treated while I’m there.
