Why does a wart on your hand turn black when using Apple Cider Vinegar to remove it?

I’m currently using the ACV method to remove a small pesky wart on my hand that just won’t go away. And its working like everything that i’v read said it would. I’m just curious as to why it turns black.

It is all part of the process using the ACV. The wart is getting very close to falling off. The black is discoloration of the wart as it is dying.
