When to stop Plantar wart treatment?

My doctor recomment DuoPlant– it’s an over the counter salicylic acid cream. It makes the skin turn white and then peel off. When I was first using it it made the black dots show up and harden. Several layers have peeled off since and the whole area just looks white (no more dots). Does that mean the wart is gone? The directions said to apply every day for 3-4 weeks and I don’t want to continue for longer than necessary (it’s been 3 weeks). Has anyone removed these warts before? My feet don’t hurt or anything, but I’m on holiday and can’t see a doctor.

I had them on both feet for like 4 years–tried everything, even the doctor’s office and liquid nitrogen burn treatments which are very painful. They will appear to go away and come back. If your treatment is working, by all means, keep it up because you don’t want them to return.
What finally worked? Duct tape, believe it or not. If they come back, just cut pieces of duct tape and wear them on your feet.
