I'd definitely go the doctor and have that checked out. Herpes is very contagious and easily passed on through sexual intercourse, as condoms don't protect the entire genital area. While there is no known cure for herpes virus, there are effective treatments like valtrex. Some folks estimate that 1 in 4 or 5 adults have herpes. But hey, who knows... maybe it's something else. It could be something more serious like genital herpes (you can get them even then you're not sexualy active). And there really is no "protection" against herpes or warts because often times the infectious skin will be in an area not covered by the condom. See a doctor.
