I’ve tried st johns wart and ginko biloba for circulation but is there any that are stronger?

There are herbs that might help you relieving anxiety, eg, valerian root, kava kava, chamomile, hops, passion flower, skullcap. Probably, valerian root and kava kava are the best. However, what most people don’t realize is that it can take a FEW WEEKS for some herbs to build up in your system before they start to work.
The minerals calcium and magnesium and the B vitamins might be helpful for. You can also try 5-HTP.
When you mention anxiety symptoms, you might also consider some form of counseling or therapy. Many times, just talking about your problems, even to a friend, can relieve the anxiety. Counselors can often suggest relaxation techniques to counter anxiety. Cognitive-behavioral therapists (CBT) can help you identify the thoughts that trigger anxiety. Then they suggest ways of changing those thoughts.

What helped me a lot, especially when my mind was racing, was to sit or lie down comfortably and listen to relaxation CDs, especially those that contain someone speaking with relaxing music in the background. The combination of voice and music is very soothing. Many of these CDs are available on eBay for very low prices.
A helpful technique is to relax your body one part at a time. So you could relax your feet, your lower legs, upper legs, moving up from your lower belly up to your chest, etc., until your whole body is relaxed.
Of course, guided relaxation methods can help. As vividly as possible, imagine yourself at the beach, in the mountains or country, or whatever is most soothing to you.
We have come a long way from herbal remedies, but I found exercise to be helpful in dealing with anxiety. A healthy and relaxed body often leads to a relaxed anxiety-free mind. I wish you the best.

I use Valerian, used in Kalms tablets available in most chemists, Natracalm tablets I find better but they’re not sold in most chemists.
Timoty: I think I can help. St. Johns is great but more for depression than anxiety. I recommend 5-HTP, L-Tyrosine, GABA, and Ashwaganda and Vit B’s. Its kind of expensive to buy all these individually so i use a formula that has all of them called panicyl. It works well for me. Hope this helps Timoty.

Have you tried vitamin B complex. If your nerves are frayed it could be that these vitamins are lacking or you have a higher requirement for them. Try B50 strength, time release format. B support the nervous system as a whole. Magnesium also supports the nervous system. It would be worth trying these first. Magnesium is best taken in combination with calcium and the citrate formulation is well absorbed. Take B complex in the morning. Take magnesium/calcium after your evening meal. You could also try lemon balm tea or in capsule form…..known to ehlp anxiety.
St Johns wort is more for depression rather than anxiety.
Rhodiola rosacea [an adaptogen] could be tried also if you have been through or are going through a particularly stressful period in your life.

Herbal Therapy:

I like Ben S’s suggestions. In addition, there are lots of products out there that have been effective against anxiety and panic attacks, incuding Native Remedies Triple Complex Never Tonic and Mindsoothe.
A wonderful herbal product for the heart and panic attacks is Dr. Christopher’s Hawthorne Berry Syrup. I use it regularly.
Though not specifically for panic attacks or anxiety, cayenne pepper extract is outstanding for overall cardiovascular health.
