What are the dangers of picking off a wart?

I once picked off a wart on my scalp and got a bald spot a few weeks later. Could they be connected?

hey i had one on my toe a while ago and i picked it off with no chemicals or tape and that was a while ago. Never had anything like that since and my toe is fine never had any problems since.
I don’t know the dangers…. but put ductape on it. It worked for me.
