Should over the counter wart removal remedies hurt?
I have a wart on my index finger – the doctor told me to purchase the band-aid type wart remover to get rid of it, that the freeze kind doesn’t work. So I bought Dr. Scholl’s with the small salycilic acid disks and band-aid type covers. I put the first one on on Monday evening – Tuesday it began to hurt. I cut the disc smaller today and re-applied, but it still hurts and my finger around the area itches – it’s VERY annoying. Can anyone give me ideas about a better way to remove or whether there should be any pain or not? I didn’t expect ANY pain from it….thanks for any help anyone has.

It may hurt because the medicine is getting on places where the wart isnt. I think that you should use some sort of liquid instead of something that comes in a specific size. Try duofilm. It got rid of the nastiest wart I had on the bottom of my foot.
try buying the liquid one frm dr.sholls…ithink..its a yellow bottle.. it shud sting alittle and itch alittle but nothing serious ..takes about 2 weeks if used properly
ps. the sting and itch shud only happen when applied during the first 20 secs..while it dries..it dries quick..then its a faded white thingy on ur finger
probably if you’re interested you might want to use some Oregano oil.
yes when i did it mine hurt.
