Plantar Wart treatment?

I had a plantar wart a few years ago and now I have a new one. I just noticed it yesterday and it is still under the skin. Is to to soon to use any kind of treatment on it?

wal-mart has a plantar wart remover, do it now before it gets bigger & becomes painful
I’ve used the over-the-counter topical stuff and it worked well. My physician’s asst friend says you can use duct tape. I’ve never tried it, but it would be interesting to try.
