Is This Definately Normal? Early Pregnancy Symptoms… Please Read.?
This is my second pregnancy, but i didn’t have these symptoms with my 1st. First of all is the constant lower Back-ache.. which is getting quite annoying and seems to worsen late at night, had this for about 4 days now. i done research and alot have said this is normal but its still worrying me did anyone experience this in early pregnancy? Also like cramp like feelin accompanying the back ache not sharp shooting pains or anything, pretty much resembles my normal cramp pains when im on my period, nothing to severe but very uncomfortable is this normal? And lastly after intercourse i noticed when i went to the toilet later, there was slight blood in my knickers? mainly i would like to know if anyone else experienced these symptoms rather than just tellin me its fine :\ im a bit of a worry wart and its playing on my mindether or not i should contact my midwife tomorrow, thanks.

You should talk with your mid wife. Spotting while pregnant is common- but not normal. It could be just because you had intercourse- which can cause a little bleeding and is not dangerous. The back ache is normal, but it is the cramping and bleeding combined is what I am worried about. Having a dull abdominal ache is normal (due to uterine stretching) but actual period like cramping is not. The cramping and the bleeding combined could mean a threatened miscarriage. OR it could be just a bit of blood after sex. It’s better to check with your mid wife or OB to be sure.
the back pain and cramps are normal so is the blood (if your really worried about it go to the dr’s) The back pain and cramps are from the baby growing.
I am 6 weeks pregnant, 6th pregnancy, 4 miscarriages later. I have experienced many different things in all of these pregnancies. Currently I have a low backache and sharp pain on one side of abdomen, had ultrasound and I have a cyst on my ovary, which is causing the pain. Some women have slight bleeding during early pregnancy and its normal. I have only one living child and I never had any bleeding with her, but I did have period type cramping. All the bleeding and cramping I experienced led to miscarriage. I would suggest you contact your midwife and tell her what is going on. It is better to be safe and have piece of mind rather than drive yourself nuts, and no more sex until you talk to her. It would be great if we could see in our tummies and know everything was ok. I think I called my doctor almost every week when I was pregnant with my daughter asking if something I was experiencing was ok. Don’t feel bad calling that’s what they are there for.
There are a few common symptoms that let you know that you are pregnant.
They are:
■Missed period – If you have a regular 28/29 day cycle, then being late or missing a period is a pretty good sign that you may be pregnant however there are other factors that can delay periods . so its usually better to look for more than one sign of pregnancy than just delayed period. If you have a more irregular cycle, or have just come off the Pill or other hormonal contraception, then a late period may NOT be an indication that you are pregnant.
■Nausea or morning sickness – can occur not just in the morning but all day long. It can be as severe as throwing up or just feeling off your food. Alot of women find that their sense of smell is heightened during pregnancy, and smelling food cooking can make you feel sick. You may also find that you are absolutely starving but the thought of actually eating food is revolting or alternatively finding something that you feel like eating is very difficult.
Nausea or morning sickness generally wears off at the 12 /13 week point. Not all women feel nauseous and different prganancies can produce different symptoms.
■Frequent urination – the desire to pee frequently is a pretty good sign of pregnancy and can start very early.
■Sore Breasts – are another sign of pregnancy but some women experience sore breasts before bleeding. Increase in breast size, soreness and the darkening of the nipple area are key.
■Fatigue – it takes ALOT of energy to grow a baby, so you may feel really tired during pregnancy. Take it as a hint and rest up, cause once that beautiful baby arrives regular sleep can be a thing of the past for quite some time.
■Mood Swings and raging hormones – the sudden changes in hormone activity as your body adjusts to its new pregnant state can cause emotionality and mood swings. Again this can be pre-menstrual, but if it continues and your period just doesn’t come, then it could be a sign.
■Spotting – A woman may spot (lightly bleed) 9-10 days after fertilisation. It is not a normal period and it is perfectly normal. However, once it is done and you are confident you are pregnant, you should not spot anymore. If you do bleed at all during pregnancy see your doctor.
So these are the most common signs of pregnancy, some of them can be confused with PMS so the more you have the better. If you think you may be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test or see your doctor and find out for sure. Then, take good care of yourself.
