HPV is a nice way to say genital warts. I understand that they are nearly endemic in our modern society. 60% of the population has it.

First of all…it’s not genital warts…it can CAUSE genital warts…but it’s not genital warts.
Men don’t show symptoms. Women however can have it detected at the yearly "ladies doctor" appointment.
If you’re a guy and you think you have it, you need to go get tested. That way, if you do you can let your partner know so you can use protection until they get vacinated. If they don’t get vacinated, you’ll just keep giving it to them. There are many differnt types. The big concern is the one that causes cervical cancer.
Yes, it’s entirely possible to have HPV and be completely symptom free. Which is why it’s been spread so easily, because if there’s no symptoms people assume they’re clean. Only way to be sure is get screened.
Yes, it’s true. Also, having HPV doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll develop genital warts. The scary thing about HPV is it’s tendency to cause cancer. Cervical cancer in women and in recent studies an increased risk for men developing mouth and throat cancer caused by oral sex on someone who has HPV.
