only certain types of warts "spread" and as long as you get to the doctor sooner than later you should be fine. just do not scratch it! and clean any other cuts or abrasions very well.
if you are concerned though, there are some at home remedies that you could use until you get to the doctor:
1. put duck tape over the wart – it supposedly cuts off the oxygen and slowly kills it
2. wet a generic aspirin tablet then secure it on the wart with a bandage – i’m not sure exactly what it does to the wart but it really does work
You want to be sure that you leave them alone, as they will spread if they are open sores. If you want to remove them yourself, you can buy a freezing kit at the store, or simply get some dry ice to hold on them and freeze them off. Just wrap a piece in paper towel so you can hold it, and place the raw ice against the wart, holding it there for about 30 seconds at a time, then remove it and let it thaw, it will burn when it’s thawed. Repeat the process at least 3 times and the wart should turn black or purple and die, then fall off in a few days. Sometimes they come back and you have to do it again, but normally 2 or 3 treatments kills them off. It is way cheaper than the doctor, who will do the same thing
