Are all forms of the HPV virus-both low and high risk- considered to be transient? In other words are the wart causing viruses, 11- and 6 considered to be transient in most cases? (Figures that I have heard range from 85% to 90% clearence rate within 24-36 months hpv) if these clearance rates are true for all forms of the virus, then is this from the date of onset of symptoms or is this thought to be from the date of contraction?
I am asking, as I have recently been diagnosed with genital warts–much to my anger and disgust with both myself and my ex-boyfriend. I am a 30 year old female that has had only 4 sexual partners; two of which were virginal. My 3rd partner cheated on me with an extremely permiscuous 20 yr old unprotected and failed to tell me–I found out a month after we had broken up. Long story short she had active hpv (warts at the time). Although we were never unprotected and slept together only once after he cheated, nine months later here I sit with an outbreak.8(

Also, just in case, do I have to tell future boyfriends about this? I DO NOT have the wart causing virus. I am just a bit nervous and embarassed..Please help with your advice.

can any type of wart or chancre that look very similar? which one is very hard surface to touch at? I have something very tiny and hard surface on my scrotum. I wonder what that was. it does not cause any pain and disappear in a few days and reappear in few days and disappear again. It looks like a pimple but does not cause pain when touch at it.

My son has worked in a grocery store for 4 years. He washes his hands frequently, but at some point years ago he contacted the virus that causes warts on his hands. He has had them removed by a doctor 3 different times. The warts keep coming back and he has scars from the previous doctor’s visits. He’s tried just about everything over-the-counter. There must be some way to get rid of them for good. Know of any remedies that actually work?

I’m 20 years old and have had some sort of warts on my index fingers and thumbs for at least 8 years. It started out as just one on my left finger and somehow spread to the other three. I know that they say that plantar warts are only on your feet, but I did read that they can, in rare cases, grow on your fingers. I was wondering if the strand of HPV that causes warts can be cured. Also, I’m sure its a completely different strand of HPV, but I did get the first two shots in the Gardasil shot series, and wanted to make sure its not going to affect me in anyway. Any information would be great!! thanks!!

If you been in a relationship for 3 years with one person and none of you have slept around, what the cause of getting the wart?

Because she thinks she has HPV, because when we looked it up online, it said it was the main cause of plantar’s warts. I have had one before and told her it’s not a big deal, but she’s still freaking out! Can somebody convince her it’s not a big deal? What are other causes?
Thanks!

I had skin warts when I was about 20, I had them frozen off my legs.
Skin warts are caused by one of the HPV viruses.
I have only had sexual contact with my wife, and vice versa.
My wife has had a pap smear done every year for the past 5 years, they have all came back normal.
We have unprotected sex, is it safe to assume she has HPV from me?
She has never had a skin wart, but I read there may not be any symptoms.
I feel horrible if I gave her HPV, she could get cervical cancer now, right?
Does the HPV that causes skin warts cause cervical cancer?
