This may sound like a dumb question, but I read on here that all warts are caused by HPV. I have a wart on my hand. Is it a HPV wart?

btw, I’m a virgin, but I’ve heard that people can contract warts by holding hands…
Also, are there two types of warts or something? HPV warts, and regular warts?

Please could someone reply, he has had them for a few months now, and they are starting to get in the way of his relationship and cause him a bit of pain.

what is the cause of genital warts and do they ever go away? or is this something that will need to be treated indefinitely? if a podophyllin (sp?) treatment is used what are the common side effects of this? can this particular treatment cause burning and inflammation for several days?

if my warts are not present can i still be contagious while using a condom with my boyfriend?

note: i had an abnormal pap a few months ago that came out to be known as ASCUS.. and then i had a coposcolpy /biopsy to see whats behind that and if i am positve for hpv still. and the doctor said that my biopsy thing came back negative and i didnt have any infections..

I visited the gyno about a month ago b/c of some STI-like symptoms and recieved an exam. I was never called back to inform me that anything was found. Now, I have found vaginal wart-looking things, but know they would’ve been there during the exam. I work out frequently and wonder if there is any tie to that or are there no other causes…?

i have a growth/wart near my tonsil, could this be caused from my bulimia?

I’m talking about the ones on your fingers above the skin ones…not the std ones. Also can you catch warts… are they contagious??? serious answers please.

I have a growth-thing on the side-bottom of my foot and when I googles things I found out it was a plantar wart. I read that they are caused by HPV but I’ve never had sex before so this doesn’t make sense to me. So how can I have this wart if I have never had sex?

k.. i have a wart on my left ring finger right on the skin by the nail…it wont die cuz every time i get it burnt off, it dies then comes back even bigger…so i gave up on the doctor after the third visit. Then i tried using the store bought stuff, like the freeze off stuff, and it did nothing. becoming desparate, i actually tried using duct tape like everyone tells me to do and it didnt work either. I known that it is a wart cause the doctors diagnosed it as one…so if anyone has any of their remidies, please tell me some
