If you have physical contact on your genitals with the same soap a carrier of herpes and or genital warts had contact to their genitals, is it possible to contract it?

My partner tested positive for genital warts. Him and I never had sex, though. Can I get plantar or flat warts on my skin from touching genital warts? I noticed some strange bumps on my wrist, knuckle and my elbow.

I met a great girl, and things were going along well. But when we started to get intimate she informed me that she has genital warts. My ex used to have warts on his hands when we first got together five years ago. This is the only way I can think of how I may have gotten genital warts. I haven’t been told by a doctor that is what it is but I am pretty sure by the looks of it that I have them. I just want to know if it’s possibly that I got them from him touching me down there. I am just now noticing them and we broke up about 8 months ago and havent been with anyone since. Is it still possible to have a break out after that long?
