Can you tell me more about genital warts?

My partner was diagnosed with genital warts, but we didn’t sleep together. We did, however, "mess around". I noticed 3 small idential raised bumps with a slightly darker center. They are very small. One is located on my wrist. The other on my forearm and the last on my knuckle. Does this mean I have "genital" warts on my skin or are they just regular warts? Does this mean I have the HPV virus?

all warts are caused by HPV virus! hpv virus has more than ~130 different strains! and 40 of them can cause genital warts and some of them can cause cervical, anal, penile cancer!
genital warts appears only in genital area!!
so in your case you have common warts and those are caused by HPV virus strain that is no related to STD! so you are clear from STD strain of HPV virus!!
anyway if you have them you MUST get rid of them as soon as it is possible because warts are very contagious!!!
and if you really want to get rid of warts forever then you should know that you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!

HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person’s immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.

genital wart in women occur on the vulva, vaginal wall, cervix, and skin surrounding the vaginal area. they usually appear 1-6 months after infection with papillomavirus , beginning as tiny, soft, moist, pink or red swellings. they can diffidently hurt like a bitch too. i really doubt that you have HPV but if you’re that worried about it go get tested. it is still possible to spread GW’s in between breakouts.
